it all depends on how good it comes out. so it all depends on the artist. Keep in mind tho that it doesn't have to be real real detailed since it will be going as a tattoo. and tattoos tend not to have real small small details

Okay then let me ask you these:
Where is the tattoo going? How big do you want the image to be? Does it need to be straight black and white or can the grayscale be used? Do you have a particular deadline that you want this by?

I know what your thinking - no, the scanner was not on at the time.

Why would you get a tattoo if it was not really detailed.Good ink cost a lot and is very detailed. Your best bet is to goto a GOOD SHOP have them draw the picture for you.
I know and im prolly going to have the shop draw it up. but im given everyone the chance to show some kickass word. Why pass up getting payed isk for doing something u guys love to do?

If you are anywhere near Richmond, Va (doubt that) he may be willing to draw it up and tat you for free.
Slade
P.S. He is such a good artist that I let him practice lettering for his second tattoo on my right calf.
ya i just need the drawing done up. and im ONLY paying isk for this drawing. and im no wheres near there

Since I need some isk I will see if I can talk him into it. It may take me getting the tat myself, but I have always wanted a dragon also.
All you need is a bottom half of the circled part of the picture plus a crystal orb being protected by the dragon, correct?
New Deadline July 17th!!!
Slade
Sounds good. and yes that pretty much it. if u shoow him what i posted in the main post im sure he will understand what to draw

Originally by: Slade Trillgon I will see my friend Saturday. I will bring it up then.
Is a rough sketch acceptable? Meaning if he was willing to give just a quickhand, do you think your chosen artists' skills are good enough to make the details of the scales and the shadding to your likeing? My guess would be yes, but I would rather ask and I want to get you something as quick as possible.
Slade
the better the quality of the pic the better.

Do you want the dragon in a similar position with the crystal ball being held by the bottom legs or would you rather the ball be on some form of pedestal and the dragon standing or flying guard over it?
Slade
would rather the dragon holding it

Originally by: Dheorl I should quite easily be able to draw something in that time period. What would make it alot easier though is if you were more specific about pose/what else you want in the pic/what size you want the crystal to be/what style body do you want the dragon to have/number of legs on the dragon (do you want a dragon, wyvern or serpent?). It will just save me drawing something and you coming back and saying "I'd prefer it if "X" is more like "Y" so should result in a much better picture being produced in the time period.
So yea, if you could provide alot more detail then I'll get something done and see if you like it or not... first I've got to find me sketch book/pencil set, I know I left them around here somewhere.
Also what type of shading do you want? Similar to on the picture you provided? And do you mind if it's done on paper and scanned or on the computer?
I want the lower-body to go along with the style that the upper-body(picture on main post) as far as legs and such its up to what think is good.
Would like the crystal ball to prolly be around the size of a quarter maybe a little bigger.
As far as pose, like i said i pretty much want the dragon pertecting the crystal ball.
shading wise i would rather it be done on on paper.
Alot of the details are up to the artist and what they think will make the image look better.

Originally by: Dan Glebitts Edited by: Dan Glebitts on 27/06/2008 00:14:47 I havent drawn anything in close to 10years. I threw away or gave away everything that i've drawn. Those are the only things i have left
I look at them now-a-days and I cringe at all the mistakes.
The chick in the armour is a banshee. It was drawn from a picture i seen in a friends Warhammer book I thought it was cool at the time.

Sheesh scanners really do show every little blemish dont they..... Loads up Photoshop
I've seen this thread over the last few weeks and have thought about it. but I don't fancy keeping so close to a your brief and i'm afraid it would take me time to do.
